THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a highly skilled Endpoint Management Engineer with a strong focus on application packaging and patching. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the intake of technical requirements, coordinating deployment activities, and ensuring the smooth operation of software applications post-deployment. This role requires expertise in software distribution, application patching, and the ability to build, test, and distribute software packages across the enterprise.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Intake Technical Requirements: Collaborating with the Sr. Functional Analyst to gather technical requirements, deployment timelines, and expected results

Software Distribution and Application Patching: Building, testing, and distributing software packages for workstations across the enterprise using Intune; ensuring timely and effective application patching

Deployment Coordination: Coordinating pre-production and production deployment activities to ensure seamless software rollouts

Post-Deployment Support: Providing administrative support and care to ensure software applications are functioning properly after deployment

Status Reporting: Generating and delivering status reports for deployment activities to keep stakeholders informed

Vulnerability Review and Updates: Reviewing application-related vulnerabilities and delivering updated versions or configuring auto-update models to maintain security and compliance

REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent qualification

3 years of experience in a relevant field

Possessing the relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or Apple Certified Support Professional are a plus

Proven experience in software distribution and application patching

Advance knowledge of MS Intune and related technologies (Tanium, etc.)

Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Batch, and Bash for automation tasks

Advance knowledge of Windows, MacOS, Apple iOS and Android operating systems

The ability to build, test and distribute software packages

Excellent coordination and communication skills

Experience in providing post-deployment support and troubleshooting

Familiarity with vulnerability assessment and remediation

The ability to follow ITIL process for change release, incident and problem management

Experience working in an enterprise environment will be an added advantage

Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards

Should possess the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
