THE OPPORTUNITY
Join Sysco Labs Sri Lanka as an Intern - IT Operations and gain hands-on experience in providing technical assistance to end users. This internship offers a great opportunity to enhance your technical skills, solve real-world IT challenges, and contribute to the seamless operation of our IT systems. The knowledge gained during the internship will provide the intern with the skillset needed to seamlessly move into a professional career in the IT industry. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about IT operation and eager to learn in a dynamic environment while contributing to Sysco Labs’ mission of delivering exceptional end-user experiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting end users with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues via phone, email, or in-person
Supporting the installation and configuration of computer systems, applications and peripherals
Documenting technical problems and solutions for future reference
Assisting end users in using IT systems effectively
Collaborating with the IT team on projects such as system upgrades and application rollouts
Maintaining inventory records of IT equipment and contributing to technical documentation development
Performing other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Possessing basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows/macOS), networking and troubleshooting tools
Must have basic knowledge of M365 applications
Should demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills with a customer-centric approach
Should be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting
