Sysco LABS Employees Donate Essential Medicines to Maharagama Apeksha Cancer Hospital
Employees from Sysco LABS Sri Lanka recently donated essential medicines to the Maharagama ‘Apeksha’ Cancer Hospital. The donations included the critical medication Meropenem, which is used for antibiotic treatments for cancer patients and has been scarce in the country during recent times.

Employees from Sysco LABS Sri Lanka recently donated essential medicines to the Maharagama ‘Apeksha’ Cancer Hospital. The donations included the critical medication Meropenem, which is used for antibiotic treatments for cancer patients and has been scarce in the country during recent times. Sysco LABS Associates from the Hybrid Cloud Operations team spearheaded this initiative which also included donations from employees across multiple business units in the organization. The total Donation exceeded LKR 1 million and included other medications such as Anaztrozole, Amikacin, Vancomycine, and Noradrenaline which are also essential for cancer treatment.

This magnanimous spirit on the part of its employees is a testament to the company’s culture and value system and aligns with the purpose of ‘connecting the world to share food and care for one another’.
