As part of Leapset’s corporate social responsibility outreach here in Colombo, we have been working together with the Ceylon Child Protection Society to improve the IT learning facilities at the Maharagama Boys home.
The facility is home to over 30 kids, between the ages of 4 and 16, who due to varying circumstances have no legal guardians to provide for them. Leapset’s has been renovating the computer lab of the home, and adding several new machines. We were able to hire a teacher too, and she currently conducts weekly ICT classes at the home.
We were also lucky enough to head down to the home on the 07th of February 2014, and spend some time with the kids.
