Sysco LABS technology is present in the sourcing of food products, merchandising, storage and warehouse operations, order placement and pricing algorithms, the delivery of food and supplies to Sysco’s global network, the in-restaurant dining experience of the end-customer and much more.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently on the lookout for an Associate Technical Lead – Front End to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The design and development of enterprise solutions for one of the world’s largest corporations involved in the marketing and distribution of food products
- Working with and formally managing a tight-knit agile team developing robust web-based enterprise solutions
- Adhering to Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery of solutions
- Ensuring high code quality by following software engineering best practices
- Working collaboratively in a cross-functional team in an Agile delivery environment
- Adhering to DevOps principles and being involved in projects throughout their full software lifecycle – from development, QA, deployment, to post-production support
REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, and 4 + years of experience developing production enterprise applications
- Previous experience being a team leader and a formal manager of subordinates is required
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with the React/Redux stack, with good industrial experience
- Excellent understanding of client-side state management, asynchronous programming and efficient browser resource management
- A proficient understanding of other complementary front-end technologies, such as HTML and CSS
- An excellent understanding of coding best practices, unit/integration testing, API design and integration
- Familiarity with API (REST, Graph) usage/best practices and a general understanding of backend technologies, datastore management, microservices will be required
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and experience working with Cloud providers such as AWS along with the understanding of container technologies
- Familiarity with working in a Scrum Agile delivery environment
- Familiarity with Quality Engineering process and practices
- Familiarity with working on Linux platforms
