THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently on the lookout for a Data Scientist to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Designing and developing large data processing solutions for one of the world's largest corporations involved in the marketing and distribution of food products
Identifying necessary data elements and their sources, leveraging appropriate tools to acquire and consolidate large volumes of data from different internal and external sources, and identifying and resolving any irrelevant, corrupt, missing, or incongruent data
Identifying and using appropriate advanced analytic tools, technologies and platforms to execute analysis against business requirements, including the ability to scale, deploy and distribute models across the enterprise as needed
Developing performance scorecards and dashboards to monitor the adoption, implementation, and impact of models and strategies
Working collaboratively in a cross-functional team in an Agile delivery environment
REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Neuroscience or another technical field with a focus on quantitative research
Experience in accessing and manipulating data in SQL or NoSQL database environments
Knowledge of scientific scripting languages (e.g., Python) and/or object-oriented or programming (e.g., C++, Java)
In depth understanding of Bayesian statistics, regression analysis (beyond linear regression), supervised learning, unsupervised learning or time-series analysis required
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Familiarity with working in a Scrum Agile delivery environment
