THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a strategic and technically adept Senior Manager of Domain Data Architecture to lead the design and evolution of our enterprise data platform. The right candidate will drive the architecture and governance of domain-specific data models, ensuring scalable and secure data integration across business units. This position is critical to enabling data-driven innovation in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading design and architecture and supporting the implementation of domain-driven data models across the enterprise, using Snowflake on GCP
Overseeing a team of domain data architects. The team members partner with respective domain-functional owners and domain-data owners to architect each node within Snowflake on GCP
Architecting scalable, secure, and efficient data pipelines leveraging Kafka for real-time data streaming
Partnering with data governance, analytics, and engineering teams to ensure data quality, lineage, and compliance
Overseeing architectural standards, frameworks, and documentation to support modern data platform strategies
Evaluating and recommending emerging data technologies and best practices
REQUIREMENTS
10+ years in data architecture, engineering, or platform strategy, with 3+ years in leadership capacity; experience in Snowflake
Deep experience with Snowflake architecture including data sharing, data management services, and data integration
Hands-on expertise in GCP data and analytics services (e.g., BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage)
A strong background in event-driven architecture using Kafka (e.g., Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect)
A proven track record of designing domain-centric data models in a federated or data mesh environment
Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and security best practices
Possessing the following will be advantageous:
Domain experience in any of the areas like Supply Chain, Merchandising, Finance, HR, Sales, or other
Experience architecting or implementing data mesh or product-centric data ownership models
Familiarity with DevOps/DataOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of data catalog tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation) and orchestration frameworks (e.g., Airflow, dbt)
