THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer – Application Technology (OTMM) to join our team, with experience building integration solutions around OpenText Media Management solutions (e.g., Media Asset Management, Asset review workflows, and Custom Application development around OTMM). The work will also include OTMM integration design, implementation, support, and optimization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing support and troubleshooting for existing integrations between the OTMM and other systems
Participating in ongoing project work and taking the lead on design, build, and support testing the integration code base and providing recommendations for the project as needed
Adhering to DevOps principles and being involved in projects throughout their full software life cycle: from development, QA, and deployment to post-production support
Adhering to Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery of solutions
Working collaboratively in a cross-functional team in an Agile delivery environment
REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, and 2 - 4 years of experience developing production enterprise applications and managing teams
Previous experience in managing and developing features for SaaS applications
Extensive experience with web-based technologies and architectures such as RESTful APIs, microservices, HTML5, Java, Spring, JavaScript/ES6 and ReactJs
An in-depth understanding of the technology stack, e.g. HTTP, browser/JS engine architecture, relational and NoSQL databases, Linux and containers/virtual machines
Familiarity with working in a Scrum Agile delivery environment
Experience with OTMM will be an added advantage
Familiarity in working with streaming data will be an advantage (using tools such as Kafka, Flink and Apache Beam etc.)
Familiarity with DevOps practices and prior experience working with Cloud IaaS or PaaS providers such as AWS
Familiarity with Quality Engineering processes and practices
