THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently on the lookout for a Software Architect – Integrations to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading the architecture, design, and governance of integration solutions
Defining enterprise integration patterns and reference architectures that ensure scalability, reliability, and data integrity
Designing real-time and batch data movement pipelines across operational and analytical platforms
Providing guidance on data synchronization, stream processing, and data ingestion strategies using streaming platforms (such as Kafka) and ETL tools (such as Informatica)
Designing and implementing data inbound/outbound integrations strategies for various systems, including AS400, SAP, and other ERP platforms
Enabling seamless data integration between core systems and Snowflake-based data platforms
Evaluating and recommending technology choices, frameworks, and tools
Collaborating with data and analytics teams to align integration architecture with downstream data consumption needs
Establishing integration best practices, coding standards, and reusable components
Reviewing solution designs and performing technical assessments of proposed implementations
Mentoring developers and ensuring high-quality deliverables in line with architectural standards
Driving the adoption of automation, observability, and DevOps practices in integration delivery
REQUIREMENTS
A first degree in Computer Science from a recognized foreign or local university; a relevant Master’s Degree will be an added qualification
A minimum of ten years of work experience with 2+ years in an integration architecture role and at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
Extensive experience with Java (Java 8+), Spring Framework and ORM frameworks
Excellent leadership and negotiation skills with the ability to clearly propose and articulate architecture and technology decisions
Proven expertise in designing and implementing integration solutions using Apache Kafka, Informatica, Snowflake
A solid understanding of data movement patterns: real-time, near-real-time, and batch
Experience with RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and ETL/ELT frameworks
Hands-on experience with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and monitoring of integration pipelines
Hands-on experience with data ingestion and extraction from ERP systems like AS400, SAP, and Dynamics will be advantageous
Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
Experience in distributed/offshore delivery models and cross-time zone collaboration
Familiarity with Agile delivery methods and DevOps practices
