THE OPPORTUNITY

This position is with the Cyber Analytics & Business Intelligence program at Sysco where you’ll play a key role integrating data end-to-end for a complete lifecycle view. Main key responsibilities will include engineering Business Intelligence solutions for Cyber Security programs, using the underlying data from tools and technologies in building actionable dashboards that help focus cyber security teams identify existing and emerging threats and gaps, issues/opportunities empowering operational and business stakeholders to make timely and wise decisions, mitigate risks pro-actively, increase efficiencies and invest wisely.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyzing user requirements and business requirements specifications and developing technical solutions
  • Identifying anomalies, suggesting improvements and taking advantage of technological efficiencies
  • Understanding the data end of cyber tools; partnering with multiple teams for data integration points to discover key system attributes from each tool
  • Engineering Business Intelligence solutions for Cyber Security Programs and teams
  • Building, maintaining and supporting Administer dashboards
  • Building, maintaining and supporting efficient automations for data integrations and ETL data for Cyber Intelligence (preferably in Python)
  • Designing highly available and scalable cloud integrations for data engineering using cloud providers (Azure/AWS/GCP)
  • Monitoring the health of data pipelines using various tools and techniques to test reliability and validate data integrity.
  • Configuring batch and real-time processing for data ingestion
  • Designing and testing APIs for robust performance and security

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related technical field of study, related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • A minimum of 6-7 years of experience in the data engineering field
  • Strong hands-on experience with MS Power BI creating, maintaining and supporting advanced reports, dashboards on desktop and online service, from concept to completion
  • Experience with installing and maintaining data gateways
  • Expertise in all kinds of visualizations and transformations in edit queries (visual and M queries)
  • Expertise in data analysis; experience in developing reports from multiple data sources using data blending
  • Strong DAX and Power Query skills
  • Experience with creating, maintaining Power BI Workspaces and Apps
  • Hands on experience with all aspects of RDBMS (preferably SQL Server)
  • Understanding of data base and data science concepts
  • Strong hands-on skills in SQL server, data modeling and backend development with indices, stored procedures, views, triggers, user defined functions, cursors, derived tables, common table expressions (CTE) and complex queries
  • Strong knowledge of tuning T-SQL queries, SSIS, SQL Agents, ETL packages
  • Strong knowledge and skills in DML and DDL
  • Extensive knowledge in developing Applications or Automations using Python
  • Data extraction using python via APIs, using REST, Pandas and NumPy to datastore.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with minimum supervision and capable of multi-tasking to deliver, validate and verify deliverables adhering to deadlines
