THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently on the lookout for a Technical Lead/ Associate Technical Lead – React Native to join our team. This role is an opportunity to start at the ground level and develop the future of Sysco’s customer experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading a development team by providing technical guidance, mentorship, best practices, and regular coaching to help team members achieve their full potential and overcome technical challenges
- Working on apps that revolutionize customer interaction at Sysco
- Being responsible for driving the development process from conception to release in a cross-functional team in an Agile delivery environment
REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 2+ years of team leadership experience
- 5+ years of industry experience in Mobile Application development with a proven track record of delivering apps to both Apple and Android platforms
- Proven expertise as an Associate Technical Lead/Technical Lead with a strong focus on React Native
- Proficiency in managing application state with solutions such as Contexts, Redux, React Query, and Apollo Client
- Proficiency in TypeScript
- A passion for Mobile Development and a commitment to building award-winning apps
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Enzyme, or Cypress
- Experience with modern CSS/Sass/Less
- Experience with native iOS and/or Android development (Swift and/or Kotlin)
- Proficiency with iOS App development and tools. Experience with the Apple release process, certificate management and setup of the iOS Development Environment
- Proficiency with Android App development and tools. Experience with the Google release process and setup of the Android Development Environment
- Strong understanding of mobile app design principles and user interface guidelines for iOS and Android platforms
- Knowledge on Node.js, Firebase Analytics and Azure CI/CD Pipelines is an added advantage
- Experience developing, testing, shipping and supporting a product for hundreds of thousands of users is a plus
- Must possess strong communication skills and should be able to work effectively in a remote team across different time zones

- Must have a passion for code-quality and expertise in usability, and mobile standards
