THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently on the lookout for a Technical Lead - Data Engineering (Tableau and Power BI) to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collecting, refining and preparing data for analytics and visualization
Developing database queries and conducting unit tests to troubleshoot and analyze issues that arise
Preparing reports using various visualization and data modelling methods
Monitoring reports and dashboards and making necessary changes
Continuously staying up to date on emerging technologies, sharing learnings and applying them to solve real-world problems
REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
6+ years’ experience working with data engineering/data visualization and ETL tools and platforms
Experience in Designing, developing and managing dashboards and reports in Tableau and Power BI
Technical knowledge and experience of Tableau and Power BI Products and versions, including Tableau and Power BI Server, Tableau and Power BI Desktop, etc.
Experience in ETL Creation with SSIS
Experience of Tableau and Power BI calculation, parameterization, filtering, aggregation, etc.
In-depth knowledge and a sound understanding of RDBMS systems, SQL, Business Intelligence, and data analytics
Knowledge of data architecture, data modelling, data mapping, data analysis, and data visualization
Knowledge of the Alteryx platform for data analytics will be an added advantage
Enterprise-level experience in data presentation through various charts models, and dashboards
Knowledge of data migration, Tableau and Power BI integration
A proficient understanding of agile development processes such as Scrum/Kanban
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, communication skills, and ability to exercise mature judgment
