The Role:

• Researching, evaluating and recommending DevOps tools in multiple technologies for multiple development teams.
• Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing AWS cloud-based production systems, to ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of productions systems.
• Build, release and configuration management of production systems that need to be supported 24* 7 uptime.
• Ensuring critical system security using the best-in-class cloud security solutions.
• Coaching development teams in DevOps practices and guiding the team to implement effective DevOps.
• Work collaboratively in a cross functional team in an Agile delivery environment. 
• Be involved in projects throughout their full software lifecycle: from development, QA, and deployment to post-production support.
• Work collaboratively in a cross functional team and third parties in an Agile delivery environment.
• Provide solutions to technical problems for systems patching, deploying, managing, monitoring, automating and integrating with other/third-party products and server platforms, or networks.
• Organize regular seminars and trainings to teach team members new techniques and methods.
• Responsible for overseeing all activities within a team.
• Responsible for training team members, setting strategy and monitoring progress towards goals.
• Perform regular appraisal of team member’s performance and devise strategies to help with improvement.

The Profile:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, and 5-8 years of experience in DevOps.
• A strong knowledge on AWS cloud computing and AWS DevOps tools.
• Strong knowledge in fundamental DevOps tools such as AWS DevOps tools, Terraform, Jenkins, GoCD, GitHub, Nagios, Chef etc.
• Strong knowledge on containerization of software packages using solutions such as Dockerization, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, AWS Fargate, etc.
• Hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting DevOps tools in production systems.
• Adherence to engineering standards, best practices - be process oriented.
• Effective communication skills – reading & comprehending documents/specifications, producing clear and thorough documentation, along with the ability to discuss and explain technical issues during meetings.
• 2+ years of experience with one dynamic object-oriented programming language like Groovy, Ruby or Python. Experience with a programming language like Java, C#, Node.js JavaScript, Python, and related web frameworks will be an added advantage.
• Experience in Jira REST API, SSO related integrations/development and administration. 
• Should have strong communication, problem solving, organizational and delegation skills.
