THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re on the lookout for a strong quality engineering practitioner with experience leading multiple teams and driving the enhancement of QE practices and processes. The ideal candidate would be a leader who’s able to guide and mentor while uplifting the organization’s overall QE efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Providing overall quality engineering leadership to multiple engineering teams

Playing a key role in evangelizing the quality engineering philosophy of the organization

Working collaboratively with engineering teams to enable quality from the project kickoff onwards

Supporting project deliverables by defining testing strategies

Providing guidance and recommendations to teams on test strategy formulation

Overseeing quality engineering standards and best practices within multiple teams

Providing technical guidance in test automation and performance testing while improving productivity in testing

Overlooking and managing test execution and communicating test statuses and matrices to stakeholders

Mentoring, training and leading a team of Quality Engineers while supporting the career development of QA personnel and managing performance evaluations

Enhancing QA tools and practices to boost standards and efficiency

REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification and 9+ years of industry experience

A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Senior Quality Engineering Lead position with people management skills

Strong knowledge of quality engineering practices and processes

Extensive expertise in data science and data engineering projects

Strong knowledge of agile software testing, practices, test design techniques and test reporting

Experience working with agile/scrum and strong knowledge in software engineering concepts

Experience in solving software/ETL test automation challenges in a pragmatic approach

Experience in testing middle tier and service-oriented architectures using tools such as Rest-Assured or SoapUI

Sound knowledge of Python, SQL, OOP concepts, coding standards and improving code quality

Experience in working with continuous integration, build and source control tools such as Jenkins, Maven and GIT

Excellent communication, presentation, leadership and negotiation skills

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Professional certifications such as ISTQB, PMI-ACP or CSM (Certified Scrum Master) would be an added advantage

A desire for continuous learning and knowledge enhancement
