THE OPPORTUNITY

Sysco LABS is on the hunt for an uncompromising Creative Director with a penchant for putting ideas in motion, to lead our creative team and drive the conceptualization and execution of innovative communications campaigns, events, and employer branding engagements. The ideal candidate will be a master curator, facilitator, ideator, and strategist, capable of translating complex ideas into compelling and effective content. This individual must be able to function both as an individual contributor and a people leader, having several personas to draw on.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Curator:

  • Leading and curating the creative process, ensuring the team’s ideas align with organizational goals and campaign objectives
  • Overseeing the development and execution of creative concepts for various communications campaigns, events, and employer branding engagements
  • Maintaining a high standard of creative excellence and ensuring all work meets the brand’s vision and strategic objectives
  • Distilling complex communications requirements into clear, actionable strategies

Facilitator:

  • Fostering a collaborative environment that encourages the exchange of ideas between different teams and stakeholders
  • Facilitating brainstorming sessions and workshops to drive creative ideation and problem solving
  • Acting as a bridge between the creative team and other departments to ensure cohesive and integrated communications strategies

Ideator:

  • Contributing individually to select projects, delivering high impact content and creative solutions
  • Generating innovative ideas and concepts that push the boundaries of traditional communications
  • Staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to inspire cutting-edge creative work

REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Marketing/Communications or an equivalent relevant qualification
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, graphic design, brand development and the creative process; exposure to the IT industry will be a distinct advantage; 10+ years total experience
  • Proven experience in a creative leadership role, preferably in an agency or corporate setting
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative work across various mediums
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to think strategically and translate complex ideas into actionable plans
  • Generalist - copy & art preferred. However, at minimum, must have expert proficiency in either of the disciplines
  • Strong organizational and management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities; should have a keen eye for detail
  • Must be lateral thinker with a passion for creativity and innovation
  • Should have the ability to be a collaborative team player with a positive and proactive attitude
  • Must be adaptable and resilient, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
