Sysco LABS technology is present in the sourcing of food products, merchandising, storage and warehouse operations, order placement and pricing algorithms, the delivery of food and supplies to Sysco’s global network, the in-restaurant dining experience of the end-customer and much more.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for L1 Operations Engineers to join the Enterprise Monitoring team at Sysco LABS. You will be part of the Sysco Global Operations Center and primarily monitor Sysco global infrastructure and applications 24x7x365.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Working on a roster covering 24x7 monitoring of Sysco global infrastructure and applications
Providing proactive support in identifying incidents through various monitoring dashboards, before they impact Sysco associates and customers
Working with internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot and proactively resolve incidents
Handling proactive incidents and resolving them to improve first-touch resolution (FTR) capabilities
Ensuring Sysco IT infrastructure and applications are fully operational at all times; any potential incidents should be escalated to support teams within the SLA
Adhering to standard operating procedure (SOP) for known incidents
REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
The willingness to work in a 24x7x365 environment covering multiple time zones
A minimum 2 years of experience in Operations Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or similar roles
The ability to learn and articulate software-related and technical concepts
Sound knowledge and experience in Windows server / UNIX platforms
Sound knowledge and experience in computer networks, including LAN/WAN, DHCP, TCP/IP, Firewalls, and Routing
A dynamic personality with a good balance of technical abilities and communication skills (English), adept at handling pressure situations
Experience in the areas of technical support/systems administration will be a key advantage
Experience in working with monitoring platforms like Datadog, SolarWinds, or Nagios will be an added advantage
ITIL certification and experience in ITIL practices
Operation experience in AWS, Azure, and GCP will be an added advantage
Should possess a desire to learn and develop all necessary technical skills
