THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently on the lookout for a Manager – HR Operations & Rewards to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Compensation and Benefits:
- Managing and administering all compensation programs, including job evaluations, salary surveys, and incentive plans
- Overseeing the annual merit increase and bonus payout processes
- Managing and administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, agile benefits, and paid time off
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits
- Analyzing compensation and benefits data to identify trends and making recommendations for improvements
- Benchmarking compensation and benefits programs against industry best practices
HRIS Management (Workday):
- Serving as the primary administrator for the Workday HRIS system
- Managing all aspects of the HRIS, including data entry, reporting, and system maintenance
- Ensuring data integrity and accuracy within the HRIS
- Providing training and support to employees on the use of the HRIS
- Stay up-to-date on Workday updates and new features
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations in Sri Lanka
- Managing the ISO Risk Tracker and ensuring compliance with Business Continuity Plan (BCP) standards
- Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with all applicable policies and procedures
- Staying informed of changes in labor law and regulations and update policies and procedures accordingly
Data Management and Reporting:
- Managing employee data and ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Generating regular and ad-hoc reports on HR metrics, including compensation, benefits, and turnover
- Analyzing data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements
- Developing and maintaining dashboards to track key HR metrics
HR Operations - Recruitment:
- Managing relationships with the labor department and ensuring compliance with EPF (Employees' Provident Fund) registration requirements
- Conducting background verification checks for new hires
- Preparing and issuing appointment letters to new employees
- Coordinating with relevant departments to ensure smooth onboarding of new hires
Employee Transfers:
- Managing employee transfers, both locally and regionally
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to employee transfers
- Coordinating with relevant departments to ensure smooth transitions for employees
Other Duties:
- Participating in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Providing support to the Senior Director People Operations on various projects
- Performing other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in a Human Resources role, with at least 3 years in a Rewards or Compensation and Benefits role
- A strong understanding of Sri Lankan labor law and regulations
- Experience managing HRIS systems, preferably Workday
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
- Experience working in a multinational company
- Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
- Experience with ISO Risk Tracker and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) standards
