THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an Operations Lead to join the Enterprise Monitoring team at Sysco LABS. The right candidate will be part of the Sysco Global Operations Centre and primarily monitor Sysco global infrastructure and applications 24x7x365.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading a group of operations engineers responsible for 24x7 monitoring of Sysco’s global infrastructure and applications
- Being the point of contact and taking responsibility for monitoring operations during the shifts
- Managing individual and shift performance to consistently meet performance standards
- Working with internal and external stakeholders to onboard new applications and services into the Enterprise Monitoring scope
- Managing the training, development, and retention of team members
- Influencing and improving existing processes through innovation and operational changes
- Providing information and tactical recommendations to the leadership during incidents
- Regularly reviewing standard operating procedures and protocols to ensure the Enterprise Monitoring Team effectively meets operational requirements
- Conducting regular 1:1 briefings with direct reports, assigning responsibilities and focusing on performance improvements and career development
- Collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance technical capabilities in the command center to enable FTR initiations
REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
- 4+ Years of Technical & People Management Lead level experience
- The willingness to work in a 24x7x365 environment covering multiple time zones
- The ability to learn and articulate software-related and technical concepts
- Sound knowledge and experience in Windows server/UNIX platforms
- Sound knowledge and experience in computer networks including LAN/WAN, DHCP, TCP/IP, Firewalls, and Routing
- A dynamic personality with a good balance of technical abilities and communication skills (English) who can handle pressure situations
- Experience in the areas of technical support/systems administration will be a key advantage
- Experience in working with monitoring platforms like Datadog, SolarWinds or Nagios will be an added advantage
- ITIL certification and experience in ITIL practices
- Operation experience in AWS, Azure, and GCP will be an added advantage
