THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently on the lookout for a Senior Quality Engineer – Data Testing to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Working on all Quality Engineering-related activities within the team
Implementing testing approaches for data pipelines, ETL processes, and data transformations
Improving the existing test automation framework and maintaining it using Python and Pytest to ensure data quality in ETL/ELT environments
Performing manual and automated data validation, identifying and resolving data discrepancies
Troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues by working closely with all stakeholders
Maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and deployment of data testing processes
Creating documentation to support the onboarding and knowledge sharing of testing practices
Following and improving QE best practices for data engineering projects aligned with Sysco Standards
REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification
3+ years of industry experience with 1+ years of hands-on experience in Big Data Testing and Python
In-depth Knowledge of ETL tools and data warehousing concepts
Strong database and SQL skills; the ability to optimize and troubleshoot queries
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong knowledge of software testing processes with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies
Professional certifications such as ISTQB or Any data Engineering related certification would be an added advantage.
