THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently on the lookout for a Software Engineer – Application Technology to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience building integrations solutions between Workday’s HCM (e.g. Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting and Time Tracking) and other systems. The work also includes Workday integration design, implementation, support, and optimization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Production support; Providing support and troubleshooting for existing integrations between the Workday product and other systems (outside carriers, outside vendors, internal systems and Datawarehouse)
- Participate in ongoing project work and taking the lead on the design, build, and support testing of Workday integration code bases and provide recommendations to projects as needed
- Managing System Updates; Taking responsibility for evaluating system upgrades and modifications impacting new and existing integrations with Workday HCM
- Requirements Collection; Gathering, building, testing, and documenting requirements for integrations with Workday HCM, Payroll, Absence, Benefits, Talent, and Recruiting
- Troubleshooting; Managing HR-related Workday support tickets via Service Now, partnering with customers to assess the scope of the request and determining the estimated timeframe needed for completion
- Research and Development; Innovating and introducing new products and services using Workday integration tools including, Workday Studio, EIB’s, Report Writer (BIRT), Core Connectors and Workday Extend
REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
- Programming and System/Application experience
- Previous coding experience using XML, XSLT, Web Services, SOAP, REST, JSON, JavaScript and Java
- A good knowledge of resolving complex XSLT logics
- Advanced proficiency with data conversion and mapping
- Hands-on experience in SQL; the ability to write and execute queries and understand databases
- Experience with Workday Implementation would be an added advantage
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to communicate in user-friendly, non-technical terms, sound ideas, and solutions to end-users on HR systems related questions, tasks, projects, and reports
- The ability to work with multiple business and Tech teams to accomplish common end goals
