THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently on the lookout for a Technical Lead – DevOps to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Architecting scalable DevOps solutions for CI/CD, infrastructure automation, observability, and more
Defining and enforcing DevOps best practices, such as GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, and Immutable Infrastructure
Driving initiatives for infrastructure cost optimization and performance tuning
Leading the adoption of DevSecOps by integrating security into CI/CD pipelines
Identifying areas for investment in tooling, skills, and automation, and justifying these through impact and ROI
Providing technical mentorship to junior DevOps engineers
Collaborating with developers, QA, platform, and SRE teams to support the full SDLC
Enforcing governance across environments, including access controls, secrets management, and logging standards
Facilitating cross-team alignment regarding environment readiness, release orchestration, and rollback strategies
Participating in designing on-call rotations, managing escalations, and conducting incident retrospectives
Promoting a Kaizen mindset — regularly auditing pipelines, systems, and processes for optimization
Staying updated on industry trends (e.g., GitOps, Platform Engineering, FinOps) and evaluating adoption
REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, and for STL: 8 years of experience in DevOps. For TL: 6+ years of experience in DevOps
A strong knowledge of AWS cloud computing and AWS DevOps tools
Strong knowledge in fundamental DevOps tools such as AWS DevOps tools, Terraform, Jenkins, GoCD, GitHub, Nagios and Chef etc.
Strong knowledge of containerization of software packages using solutions such as Dockerization, Kubernetes, AWS ECS and AWS Fargate, etc.
Hands-on experience designing, developing, testing and troubleshooting DevOps tools in production systems
Adherence to engineering standards, best practices - be process oriented
Strong communication skills – reading & comprehending documents/specifications, producing clear and thorough documentation, ability to discuss and explain technical issues during meetings
1+ years of experience with one of the dynamic object-oriented programing languages like Groovy, Ruby or Python; experience with a programming language like Java, C#, Node.js JavaScript and related web frameworks will be an added advantage
